Hungary Twin Project

I was honoured to be invited to the summer camp by Budapest-Budavár Rotaract Club, between the 1st and 5th of August 2016. The goal was to attend and support a project organized by the Reformed Church of Hungary for children.

A great amount of time and effort was made by locals and Rotaract members to ensure the camp was a success. Which it was! We interacted with a range of children, of all ages we connected in new ways despite language and cultural barriers which was very rewarding building friendships we still have today.

We played many games over the week including an Olympic themed afternoon, football competitions arts and crafts and many more. By putting together a program of creative workshops like archery and sport activities it allowed the children to enjoy a week in the summer surrounded by friends and family.
